Like Montgomery "Scotty" Scott before him, Zerlok sees the Enterprise as his daughter and works to keep her running safe and sound. He is one who can speak frankly to Captain Kirk and work with her on solutions to save the ship. He is also something of a Byronic romantic in search of a long-term partner.
