Description of Lt. Cmdr. Desaii (Chief Medical Officer):
Desaii is the 536-year Okd El-Aurian surgeon who is the chief of staff of the ship’s medical facility, which is the size of a small hospital. She is attached to older ways of doing things, which are still more advanced than what humans are used to but seem like holistic, herbal medicine.
