Synopsis

Lloyd Forger is a former career soldier, a Captain in the US Army Rangers who rose from the enlisted ranks and fought in the Korean War. Instead of going to Vietnam for his next assignment, he was sent by the CIA to Germany for counterintelligence operations against the Soviet-occupied Eastern front. In the process, he has to contend with complications from upper brass within his spy network and formation of his little "family" of operatives.

Description of Lloyd "Twilight" Forger (Captain, US Army Rangers/CIA):

A CIA agent assigned to covert operations in Germany. A native of Newark, Delaware, he grew up in an orphanage and enlisted in the US Army as a Combat Engineer years after World War 2, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 101st Airborne Division. Before the onset of the Korean War, he was commissioned through Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Georgia and qualified as an Infantry Officer in the Army Rangers. After Korea, he accepted an early retirement from the Army as a Captain and became a secret agent. His assignment to Germany was an alternative for deployment to Vietnam.
