Synopsis

Lloyd Forger is a former career soldier, a Captain in the US Army Rangers who rose from the enlisted ranks and fought in the Korean War. Instead of going to Vietnam for his next assignment, he was sent by the CIA to Germany for counterintelligence operations against the Soviet-occupied Eastern front. In the process, he has to contend with complications from upper brass within his spy network and formation of his little "family" of operatives.

Description of Francis "Franky" Franklin (Warrant Officer, US Army Intelligence/CIA):

A former Warrant Officer in the US Army Intelligence Corps (Chief Warrant Officer 3, CW3), he and Lloyd became the best of friends during their days as soldiers and time in Korea. He was hired by the CIA as a NATO Liaison Officer a couple of weeks after his "buddy ol' pal" became an agent. Initially a Communications Technician ("Radio Repairman" and Electrician), he's also considered a well-rounded expert in electronics, network security, and information warfare. Born in Salinas, California, and is of part Filipino-Chinese descent (through his mother's side), which enabled him to pass off as a North Korean soldier during infiltration missions.
