All leading up to how he found peace with his character and his life before his untimely death from COPD. When he was cast as Spock, it was a great relief to have a steady job to support his family. Yet the stress of the tight work schedule led to alcohol abuse and even neglect of his family. When Star Trek ended he thought Spock did too. But he never expected his character to lead him to icon status, and all the fortune and chaos it would cause him for the rest of his life.
