Morris Bench was a member of the crew of a ship that was one day boarded by the superhero Spider-Man. Unfortunately, he pushed Morris so hard that he lost his balance and fell into the water. At one point, Morris's body was exposed to a strong stream of volcanic gases and waves from the generator, which triggered an energy conversion process.
