My pal Harry girlfriend's dad is a supervillain. At some unknown point, Toomes decided to bring his technology to OsCorp. He had a meeting with Norman Osborn, who studied his inventions but ultimately rejected them. 4 months later, Osborn announces OsCorp Tech Flight. Outraged, Toomes goes to Osborn who interrupts him, assuring that OsCorp has nothing to apologize for. accusing him of stealing his work, Osborn goes on to insult Toomes by calling him "old buzzard," saying that no one would believe he created Tech Flight, because he had never amounted to any success before.
