Rio Morales is the mother of Miles Morales and is a nurse. She is from Puerto Rico but lives in Brooklyn. She is encouraging to Miles, wanting him to be the best he can be. I had to do some searching online and came across a lesser known actress named Valery M. Ortiz. She is in the show “Gabby Duran & The Unsittables”, playing the titular character’s mom. The show may be trash, but her acting is one of the highlights. I think she’d be a good Rio Morales.
