He meets one of his future professor’s named Otto Octavius who befriends Peter. Octavius creates robotic tentacle-like arms that he uses for experiments. It makes him slowly turn insane and becomes a villain and fights Spider-Man. Peter spends more time with MJ and Harry slowly losing interest in Spider-Man yet still continuing.
