After the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker is a ghost in his own city. With the world having forgotten he exists, he throws himself into being Spider-Man, using the mask as an escape from the loneliness and grief that have consumed his life. While attending Empire State University and volunteering at FEAST, Peter crosses paths with brilliant scientist Bruce Banner, forensic student Carly Cooper, the enigmatic thief Black Cat, and the relentless vigilante Punisher. As they investigate a string of disappearances tied to the seemingly charitable FEAST director Martin Li, Peter is drawn into a dangerous conspiracy involving the Inner Demons, a criminal organization trafficking vulnerable teenagers and enslaving them through Li's corruptive powers. Torn between the chance to rebuild a normal life and the temptation to lose himself entirely in the Spider-Man identity, Peter begins to spiral toward the very darkness he has always fought against. When Martin Li unleashes chaos across New York and pushes Bruce Banner into becoming the Savage Hulk, Peter is forced to confront the emotional pain he has been running from since losing everyone he loved. Guided by Bruce's wisdom, challenged by Frank Castle's tragic example, and inspired by Carly and Black Cat to face his future rather than hide behind a mask, Peter realizes Spider-Man cannot exist without Peter Parker. In a climactic battle against Mister Negative and the Inner Demons, Spider-Man chooses compassion over vengeance, freeing Li's victims and honoring Aunt May's legacy. As the city begins to heal, Peter finally takes his first steps toward rebuilding his own life, embracing both Peter Parker and Spider-Man as two inseparable parts of the hero he is meant to become.
