After a radioactive spider bite grants Peter Parker incredible powers, he chases fame instead of responsibility. When ruthless criminal Mac Gargan murders Uncle Ben, Peter is consumed by rage and hunts him down, leaving him for dead. But Gargan survives and is rebuilt through a secret experiment, becoming the Scorpion. Learning his lesson, Peter rises as Spider-Man to protect his city.
