Spider-Man is back in the action and dating Carlie Cooper, but Carlie's mentor Jean DeWolff is mysteriously murdered. Spider-Man investigates the murder, while he also is dealing with the fact that is aunt is now engaged to J Jonah Jameson's father Jay Jameson. JJJ and Peter try to find a time to get together and come to terms with the fact that they are brothers. Spider-Man's top suspect quickly becomes Stan Carter, who also happened to be Jean's boyfriend.
