The new African-American male protagonist named Hakeem Lambert was introduced to the Conjuring Universe where he was threatened by the feared Tonton Macoute Gaston Perrault, a powerful witch and a torturer where he took the souls of many of Haitian people as Hakeem and his love interest Céline Babineaux have battled the wills against Perrault who has turned into zombie after Hakeem was poisoned by the powder before ending up in the Hospital at the American Embassy by Dr. Alan Murphy
