Rita Malone is the deuteragonist in the DreamWorks•Aardman film, Flushed Away. She is a strong, confident, sardonic, brave, and short-tempered mouse, who comes from a large family (called the Malones) Her mother, father, grandmother, and appears to be the oldest of 36 brothers and sisters. She is the complete opposite of Roddy: Rita is a poor yet tough-as-nails sewer rat barely making ends meet in her efforts to support her large family, while also avoiding the clutches of the Toad.
