Description of The Ingenue:

The Ingenue is a young woman with the purity of a child. She is kind, sweet-natured, polite, and idealistic. Her innocence will often inspire protective feelings in heroic characters. Unfortunately, her innocence also means she can't tell the difference between a true gentleman and a rake who will ruin her purity and leave her in shame. As a result, the ingenue is one of the most common Damsels in Distress. She is also immune to innuendo. In a worst-case scenario, the character will be given no personality beyond her purity and innocence.
