Description of Suddenly Voiced:

A character who previously had no audible voice now gets a permanent tone of voice. This was especially prevalent for aged cartoon characters, many of whom originally didn't have voices and were given them in order to make more diverse plots. The reception to this is often mixed due to They Changed It, Now It Sucks!.
