Synopsis

Sonic, his family, and his friends (including their former enemy Shadow) are celebrating Mobius' freedom and Eggman's army is no more. He is now down to nothing but just three robots to boss around (Shadow destroyed the rest). But a new threat emerges. In a dark future where everything was destroyed by the fire beast Iblis, the mysterious Mephiles the Dark has ordered two super-powered Mobians named Silver and Blaze, to go and destroy Sonic. They were duped into trying to kill Sonic while Mephiles waits for his perfect vision of Mobius to come. But halfway through, Silver and Blaze realize this and team up with Sonic and his team to defeat Mephiles, who now plans to destroy Mobius with his surprising pet Iblis, who has been locked away in an ancient cage sealed for thousands of years! Mephiles will unleash Iblis' wrath and his own upon Mobius and its people. With Eggman still around and Mephiles into the mix, can Sonic save Mobius from Mephiles and his creature? Or is the entire planet doomed?

Description of Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik (Primary Antagonist):

Eggman has had it. After Sleet and Dingo quit and ran like cowards, that left Ivo Robotnik shorthanded with the last bots anyone would pick to be their minions. He thinks that this Mephiles can put pressure on Sonic and his friends while Eggman attacking them adds more to the struggle in this battle between good and evil. No matter how many times the Freedom Fighters and their new friends Silver and Blaze try to convince Eggman that if Mobius goes, Eggman goes. But the furious Robotnik told them, and I quote, "I don't want to conquer Mobius anymore. I want to destroy YOU!!!!!"
