Sonic Drift (ソニックドリフト Sonikku Dorifuto) is a kart racing game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series that was developed and released by Sega for the Sega Game Gear. Initially released on 18 March 1994, the game remained a Japan exclusive title until it was included on compilation releases years later. The game features Sonic, Tails, Amy, and Dr. Eggman in racing vehicles as rally contestants, with the basic gameplay deriving from standard, early 1990's racing games. The game also received a sequel, Sonic Drift 2, which had an international release.
