Tails when was just 8 years old, the young fox met Sonic for the very first time after upgrading his plane he got from Sally and the 2 of them became fast friends ever since. While still very intelligent, Tails would be considerably more timid, indecisive, and a bit cowardly due to his young age, especially when it comes to his crippling fear of lightning. However, he is remarkably skilled in inventing gadgets and piloting vehicles. 5 years later he would become the plucky and courageous fox that everyone knows him as today.
