One of Starline's secret projects that he kept hidden from Thunderbolt and Eggman, Surge is a Mobian that was enhanced with cybernetics to give her the speed of Sonic and electricity powers from Thunderbolt’s DNA. Brash, cocky, and crass, she represents what Sonic looks like through the eyes of someone who despises him like Starline. It was revealed that she was actually brainwashed into being Starline's follower and having a hatred of Sonic, eventually leading to her developing an identity crisis and rebelling against Starline and the Eggman Empire in a plot to destroy both Sonic, Eggman, and everyone that follows both of them.
