A mercenary originally named Zero who joined Eggman believing that he would bring him and his group unmatched power, he was humiliated by Shadow who physically and mentally scarred him after savagely beating and mocking him. To further add insult to injury, his squad would leave after being defeated by Shadow, leaving Zero completely alone. Having nothing left, he volunteered to be Eggman's newest Phantom Ruby experiment, becoming a powerful reality warper with a new mask to hide his scars. A heartless nihilist who lacks mercy and enjoys spreading fear, he was one of the major reasons why Eggman was able to conquer Mobius but would lose his Phantom Ruby powers after being defeated by Sonic.
