Description of Eclipse The Darkling:

A Black Arm lifeform designed to be a perfected version of Shadow, he is essentially what would happen to the Hedgehog if he was taken in by The Black Arms instead of Mobius, flawlessly replicated down to even the same level of control over Chaos energy. Arrogant and ruthless much like his rival, Eclipse differs from the anti-hero loner in that he possesses undying loyalty to his race and suffers genuine anguish watching them be injured or killed. This loyalty and protectiveness extends to even Shadow, as he constantly tries to convince him to become part of the Black Arm forces due to being a 'brother', only to be 'betrayed' by him which led Eclipse to become obsessed with revenge.
