She fell head-over-heels in love with Sonic ever since he saved her in Little Planet when she was 10 years old and he was 11. After this, she would follow Sonic wherever he goes, becoming one of his best friends and most trusted allies. Amy even developed a running speed that's able to keep up with Sonic due to her constant chasing of him. Perhaps she'll be more than just friends with her beloved in the future.
