6 months After the events of Sonic Movie 2 and the Knuckles Show, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles enjoy a Wachowski family vacation to Yellowstone National Park. However, their trip is cut short when they find out Robotnik had supposedly reawakened his grandfather's experiment, Project Shadow.
The two then team up to use the Space Colony ARK to destroy the earth, as it's up to Sonic and his friends to stop them.
