Fan Casting Emperor Yoshi in Smash: Dark Moon

Russell Crowe as Emperor Yoshi: The fallen leader of the Smash Brothers and ruler of Yoshi Island. He is now a spirit warrior and Meggy's advisor, and also possesses angelic wings (based on the Yoshi wings from Super Mario World as well as Super Mario 64). Crowe was both surprised and excited to appear as the character, as he was aware that he was killed in the previous film. It took five hours to apply the prosthetics for the character's new appearance, while Crowe also once again provided his voice and motion capture for his facial expressions.
