A haunted toy sensei of the Dark Element who mentors Imaginators of the new Rapidfire class. Shade Striker was created to be the latest hit in a popular kid's toy line, but was rejected for being too scary. After being tossed out and abandoned, it grew resentful and sought to get revenge, but on its way to its creator's residence, it saw a child being heckled by villains and immediately swooped in to protect them. The child was overjoyed by their strange protector, and Shade Striker realized that being praised was far more fun instead—so, it axed its revenge plans and became a Skylander instead.
