Squirmgrub was once an heralded Warrior Librarian until a lust for power and money took hold of him, and he sold out to Kaos during the Skylanders' attempts to stop Kaos from recreating the Mask of Power. He was found out and dishonorably discharged, something Squirmgrub resents them for to this day. Wanting revenge, he's allied himself with the Seven Dark Seeds so he can lay waste to Skylands for shunning him by reviving the Darkness.
