Four years after the end of the war, Quinn and the Despair Bringer have been peacefully residing in the afterlife—but when strange activity tied back to the war's final battle threatens Skylands, the two of them choose to return to the mortal realms in order to investigate. Because of the incredibly weak shape they were in when they died, the Despair Bringer can't reincarnate back into their prior form in the mortal realm, and instead takes the form of a child about the age Quinn was during the war... Much to their disdain as nobody takes them seriously anymore. About 5-9.
