A living statue portal master affiliated with the Despair Bringer who serves as a recurring antagonist. Zircon was created to serve as an heir to a childless king long ago, but while the king and his subjects loved Zircon so, none of them accounted for the fact that Zircon, by nature of his existence, would never age like they did. As everyone he cared about grew older while he didn't, Zircon feared the thought of losing all he cared for—which is how the Despair Bringer sank their claws into him, awakening his powers and allowing him to freeze his kingdom's members, and eventually all of Skylands, into stone-cold permanence.
