Gill Grunt is a friendly fish who acts as sort of an older brother figure to the younger members. Jake and Spyro met him when he was searching for his girlfriend, who was kidnapped by pirates during his time as a member of his homeland's Marines, and he joined them to both help others and hopefully find his lover, with him being made the leader of the Water Element faction. Later on, he along with the other faction leaders head to Earth to help Jake find the Hope Bringer's new incarnation using disguising magic, with him taking the form of a early-mid 20s aged man and adopting the alias Gilligan. Vaguely adult-aged.
