The leader of the Skylanders' new Dark Element faction. Blackout was originally part of a tribe of dragons that were responsible for giving evildoers nightmares so bad it would scare them onto the right path, but they soon abused that power until Blackout put a stop to their ploys. Shortly afterwards, however, he and the other Light and Dark elementals of Skylands were sealed away by a catastrophe caused by Eternity and the Despair Bringer's final battle, and stayed there for many years until the seal broke in the present day, after which he immediately joined the Skylanders. Vaguely adult-aged.
