The movie is about the next generation of skylanders as begins by retelling the story of Spyro the dragon about he became a member of the skylanders and how he left the Skylanders Academy and all of his friends to find his biological parents many years after Spyro’s absences he received a love letter from his friend Cynder saying that she and the rest of the skylanders miss Spyro so when he returned to the Skylanders Academy Spyro and Cynder fell in love got married and then Spyro got Cynder pregnant with two baby dragons named Nina and Zoran who are the youngest cadets of the Skylanders Academy the first students in the skylanders kindergarten where the teacher Hugo taught the twins how to become heroes by showing them educational videos and giving them heroic challenges Hugo told Nina and Zoran that they are destined for greatness everything was perfect until one night ago when it was bedtime someone broke into the Skylanders Academy took the children from their crib and flew away into the endless void home to Strykore who had revived Dark Spyro and raised Nina and Zoran as his nephew and niece for some reason Strykore wanted to get revenge on the ones who had imprisoned him by creating a army to take over Skylands by corrupting all of the inhabitants it Is up Spyro Cynder and the rest of the skylanders must travel the endless void to save their two children and the rest of Skylands from Strykore as Nina and Zoran try to figure out what is going on in the endless void
