Chronobones was one of the first portal masters and the mentor of Navneet. He led the portal masters of old in the first war against the Darkness, but while he succeeded, he lost many friends along the way and was deeply traumatized in a way that most today would recognize... But, his peer group of similarly-traumatized heroes and ambivalent, out-of-touch Ancients never did, and he carried himself stalwart and firm with a smile on his face, even as his young apprentice Navneet plummeted into the deep end and had to be banished far from Skylands. Before his passing, he sealed part of his magic—and by extension, a piece of his soul—into a magical cube that was sent far, far, away, and the heroes now seek out his guidance in Awakening and the truth about what became of his apprentice to save the universe...
