Merlin is the true identity of the mysterious voice that each of the portal masters made their contracts with when they first awakened. He was a portal master from the days of the Arkeyans' reign who fought against their tyranny alongside the Giants, and after his death, he ascended to godhood and became the guardian deity of all portals masters in the past, present and future. With the Darkness being unleashed, he's decided to unveil himself and guide the heroes so that they can bring a stop to it once and for all.
