Felicity Jones stars as Clarice Starling, a top student at the FBI's training academy. Jack Crawford (Guy Pearce) wants Clarice to interview Dr. Hannibal Lecter (Christoph Walzt), a brilliant psychiatrist who is also a violent psychopath, serving life behind bars for various acts of murder and cannibalism. Crawford believes that Lecter may have insight into a case and that Starling, as an attractive young woman, may be just the bait to draw him out. . Ex-FBI agent Will Graham (Tom Hardy) is an expert investigator who quit the Bureau after almost losing his life in the process of capturing the elusive Dr. Lecter (Waltz). After a series of particularly grisly murders, Graham soon realizes that the best way to catch this killer, known as the Tooth Fairy, is to find a way to get inside the killer's mind. For Graham, that means confronting his past and facing his former nemesis, the now-incarcerated Lecter.
