Fan Casting Jack Carpenter in Shane Black's Death Note

Jack Carpenter is a drug-addicted criminal who hijacks a bus. He sees Ryuk, freaks out, and shoots bullets that pass through the demon. He flees the bus and is killed by a car. He is a pathetic, tragic figure—a desperate man used as a pawn by Light and discarded. His death is both horrifying and pitiful.
