Description of Alina Starkov (Sun Summoner, Etherealki):

Although Alina in the book was of Russian descent, it has been confirmed Alina will be played by a half ASIAN/CHINESE and/or MONGOLIAN (Shu) actress. But let's still cast some people not Asian, along with Asian, ofc..cuz that's what Alina was supposed to look like at the first place. I personally prefer actresses to look European/American but somewhat Asian at the same time, to indicate the half-half ethnicity. Make sure to put actresses that are skinny in frame, has a numb beauty about them, will look good with white hair, has a bit of tan or is really pale....in book, Alina had bronze hair, pale skin and brown eyes, along with a thin sickly frame. She was always portrayed as being not really remarkable looking. She's quite sarcastic, stubborn, and a little humorous You'll find actresses here who speaks English, nationality is of Asian, or Asian with other ethnicity, actresses that have worked in Hollywood (American, European) and actresses that are Russian...
