Synopsis

9 years after the events of the killings at Blackwater University. The survivors have moved on with their life to varying degrees. Their lives are however different as a major movie series called STAB and true crime documentaries have been made about Olivia Conaways and Harrison O'connors killings. Both properties have reached a high amount of fame for all the survivors. All living their different lives in Los angeles years after. After a brutal killing of a cast member and the producers husband, the past survivors, their friends and family, and cast members of the movie series are targeted by another killer posing as ghostface for another spree, bloodier and more brutal than the last.

Description of Josh Patel (Past survivor, set designer on STAB, killer, dies):

Josh Patel was one of the survivors of the killings in past years. He currently works as a set designer for the STAB movies. He is engaged to a woman, Rebecca. He is revealed to be one of the killers, unconnected to the other pair of killers in the final act, where he is killed by Quinn in the final showdown. His motive for the killings is his way of trying to reinvigorate his fame. The old killings saw Avery and Quinn as the big stars of the story, while he wasn't. In an attempt to finish Harrisons movie from the first film and use the footage for a documentary where he is the new final sole survivor hoping to make him famous once again
