Synopsis

Siren Phillips learns that she will turn into a mermaid when she turns 12 years old. To make matters worse, she discovers that her friend's father is part of a group of hunters trying to catch her in which they attracted attention to the police officers and detectives from the 12th Precinct of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) led by Captain Kate Beckett and her husband Richard Castle.

Description of NYPD Officer Ann Hastings (Ann Hastings):

She is a uniformed police officer with the NYPD 12th Precinct who was once a murder suspect and now serves as a mentor/training officer to Steve Takata and Rachel Decker. She is also involved in the investigation into Gary Witts and his mermaid hunting activity.
