Synopsis

Siren Phillips learns that she will turn into a mermaid when she turns 12 years old. To make matters worse, she discovers that her friend's father is part of a group of hunters trying to catch her in which they attracted attention to the police officers and detectives from the 12th Precinct of the New York City Police Department (NYPD) led by Captain Kate Beckett and her husband Richard Castle.

Description of Captain Katherine Beckett Castle (Captain Kate Beckett):

She is an NYPD Captain in charge of the 12th Precinct, after being promoted from homicide detective, and a former Federal government agent. Beckett is now the wife of Richard Castle, a novelist and consultant with the precinct. She is in charge of the investigation into Gary Witts and his mermaid hunting activity.
