A decade after losing his leg to the Hobgoblin, a retired Peter Parker mentors Miles Morales, a student bitten by a genetically altered spider at Midtown High, in Spider-Man 4. As Miles grapples with newfound powers, he uncovers a criminal conspiracy led by Martin Li, whose public philanthropy masks a ruthless human-trafficking empire built with the Vulture and secretly orchestrated by Roderick Kingsley. When Miles’s mother sacrifices herself to stop Mister Negative, tragedy reshapes his purpose. Spider-Man 5 is set a year later, where Uncle Aaron returns as the Prowler, forced by the Vulture to hunt Spider-Man, leading to devastating loss and Miles’s retirement. In Spider-Man 6, Kingsley and the Jackal unleash the Tarantula—Miles’s corrupted best friend Ganke—to force Peter and Miles into a final battle. Peter sacrifices himself saving both boys, passing the mantle to Miles.
