Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc is the sequel to the original Rurouni Kenshin manga. It takes place five years after the Jinchū Arc. Kenshin Himura is now married to Kaoru Kamiya, and both share a son Kenji Himura. After finding a photograph of Kaoru's father, Koshijiro Kamiya who was believed to have been killed in the Seinan War. It is believed that he is in fact alive and is currently hiding in Hokkaido. Both Kenshin and Kaoru now set off to Hokkaido. After learning about the civil unrest in Hokkaido, Kenshin has decided to pick up his Sakabatō again and use it to protect those around him, despite his deteriorating body.read more
