Synopsis

Roy Richard Scheider was an American actor and amateur boxer known for his roles in iconic films from the 1970s to the mid-1980s. His angular face and lean build often led to him being cast as authority figures. Scheider first appeared on screen in the 1964 horror film The Curse of the Living Corpse. He established himself with roles in Klute (1971) and The French Connection (1971).
