She's known for her roles as Lisbeth Salander in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) and for her critically acclaimed performance in Todd Haynes' 2015 romantic drama Carol. Mara has been nominated for two Academy Awards, two Golden Globes, and a BAFTA. She also starred in Her (2013), Lion (2016), and Nightmare Alley (2021).
