Tommy is a young boy who dreams of becoming an astronaut. Years later, he lands a job at NASA and is given the chance to go on a mission to Mars. As he trains for the mission, he feels increasingly isolated and lonely, and starts to question whether leaving behind his family and friends is worth it. During the mission, a malfunction in his suit leaves him stranded in space with no way to communicate.
