After Ben Solo had faced trial before the Resistance, now known as The Galactic Federation of Free Alliances, he and Rey had gotten married and had a son named Anakin Solo. However, when Rey discovered Darth Plagueis The Wise on Dromund Kaas, she was possessed by her late grandfather, Emperor Sheev Palpatine, and started a fifteen year-long war between The Galactic Federation and Plagueis's Empire.
