Fan Casting Xombi in Return to the DC Universe

David Kim was a brilliant scientist who had made an amazing breakthrough-- a nanotechnology virus capable of regenerating tissue. However, a criminal named Dr. Sugarman wanted to steal the virus from David, which ended with David being saved by his assistant Kelly injecting him with the virus. David survived, but he learned he was now a "Xombi", virtually unkillable, but able to also assimilate living matter to help heal. This led David in conflict with immortal beings from the Shadow World, as he defends us as Xombi.
