The son of Ted Grant, Tommy Bronson only got to meet his father when he was an adult. But he had a bigger secret-- that he could transform into a were-cat form, a gift he gained from his mother Marilyn, which he learned years later. When Vandal Savage came to kill him and Ted, Tommy unleashed his power to fight with his dad. Eventually, he was recruited into the JSA, where he took on the name Wildcat, though currently, he also goes by Tomcat, even with his initial hesitation on it. Though Tommy isn't one to fight, he's learned some things are worth fighting for.
