Imagined as an animated epic, not live action.

Description of The Spectre (Crispus "Cris" Allen):

Originally from Metropolis, Crispus Allen and his family would move to Gotham City when he was transferred. In his work with his partner Renée Montoya, Cris served with distinction until he was murdered by Jim Corrigan (no relation to the past host of the Spectre). When God punished the Spectre for his rampage against magic, he bound Aztar to Cris, making him the new host. Though he struggles with the vengeful nature of the Spectre, such as when he had to kill his own son, Cris is also seeking a balance of vengeance and justice in his new role.
