Fan Casting Scarecrow in Return to the DC Universe

A master of fear as he is now, once Professor Jonathan Crane was bullied for his lanky appearance, studying psychology to overcome his phobias by knowing the very essence of fear. After he was expelled from teaching at Gotham U when using his own students in fright-based tests, Crane took on the guise of the Scarecrow, creating his fear toxin from the very essence of fear, using it to kill the Board of Regents, until he took on Batman and was defeated. Even now, Scarecrow uses his fear toxin to instill fear into the hearts of all.
